At Life Leisure, we’re always looking for ways to bring our members the best in health and wellbeing. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new class at Life Leisure Cheadle that’s set to revolutionise the way you work out: Reformer360!
Whether you’re a Pilates enthusiast, regular gym-goer, or someone looking to try something new, our Reformer360 class offers a unique blend of strength, flexibility, and balance that can benefit everyone. In this blog post, we’ll dive into what makes Reformer360 so special, how it differs from traditional mat Pilates, and why you should consider giving it a try.
What is Reformer360?
Reformer360 is our own take on the popular Reformer Pilates. This new class takes the fundamental principles of Pilates—core strength, flexibility, and controlled movement—and amplifies them with the use of a specialised piece of equipment that uses the persons own bodyweight for resistance.
This class is designed to challenge and support you in ways that traditional mat Pilates simply can’t. The equipment allows for a wider range of motion and provides full body support, helping you target every muscle with precision and control while remaining joint friendly. This means you can tailor each exercise to your fitness level, making it a versatile option for everyone—from beginners to advanced.
Reformer360 is more than just a workout; it’s a comprehensive approach to fitness that offers a multitude of benefits:
- Total body strengthening:
Reformer360 engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously, providing a full-body workout that strengthens your core, arms, legs, and back. The resistance, created by your own bodyweight, challenges your muscles in new ways, helping you build strength and tone faster.
- Enhanced flexibility:
The machines allow you to stretch deeper into movements, enhancing your flexibility without putting undue strain on your joints. This makes Reformer360 an excellent choice for those looking to improve their range of motion and prevent injuries.
- Improved posture and alignment:
Pilates, in general, is known for its focus on proper alignment and posture. The machines design encourages you to maintain proper form throughout each exercise, helping to correct imbalances and promote better posture in everyday life.
- Low-impact, high-reward:
One of the biggest advantages of this new class is that it provides a challenging workout without high-impact movements. This makes it an ideal option for those with joint issues, recovering from injury, or simply looking for a gentler yet effective way to stay in shape.
- Mind-body connection:
Like all Pilates exercises, Reformer360 emphasises mindful movement and breath control. This focus not only enhances the physical benefits but also promotes mental clarity, stress reduction, and a deeper connection with your body.
While our Reformer360 classes share the same core principles as regular mat Pilates classes, the addition of the machine introduces a whole new dynamic to the workout.
We’re excited to be able to offer this brand-new class to the Stockport community. Come and give it a try! Our qualified instructors are here to guide you through every step.
