Following concerns raised by residents and locally elected representatives, Stockport Council – working closely with Life Leisure and Stockport County – has secured an extension to community use of the gym, studio and football facilities at Stockport Sports Village until December 2026.
This means that the arrangements for the operation of the facility will remain unchanged for the remainder of this year. This will enable a smooth and effective transition to Stockport County and further investment into other facilities across the borough during 2026.
All memberships (including H1VE) will continue. Life Leisure continues to operate 8 Hubs across Stockport, and we want you to continue to enjoy those benefits and maintain a commitment to being active.

Life Leisure will continue to run the football until December 2026. The next direct debit payment will be collected on 8th March 2026. The community football provision will continue, and all bookings will be processed through the team at Life Leisure.
