Women taking part in a Yoga class

At Life Leisure, we really love what we do and the people we do it for. We believe that physical activity can enhance the health and well-being of communities, and we work to positively impact the mental, social and physical good health of local people.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) wholly owned by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and work to ensure all residents can access affordable provision within their communities.

Our ‘Purpose’ is simple: “we exist to improve the lives of others”. This drives everything we do at work and is as relevant for our workforce as it is for our customers, and our mission is “to develop a healthier and more active community”.

We enshrine all of this into our strap-line “Live well, live life”

Life Leisure run an extensive mix of sports and leisure facilities, ranging from small community recreation centres to large multi use sport and leisure facilities. In addition we deliver sporting activities and health programmes of the highest quality to those people who for one reason or another cannot access a local facility.
