Booking a swimming lesson in Stockport!

Looking for swimming lessons in Stockport? Whether you’re introducing your little one to the water, helping your child build confidence or learning to swim as an adult, Life Leisure has a programme to suit every age and ability. With lessons across five pools in Stockport, experienced Swim England qualified teachers and a clear progression pathway, it’s never been easier to dive in.

Join our Swimming Lesson

To book, simply visit our booking page, select your preferred lesson type, and reserve your spot. Our lessons cater to all ages and abilities.

We’re delighted you’ve chosen to swim with us!

To help our swimmers make consistent progress, all lessons are booked with a minimum commitment of 3 months.

When you sign up, you’ll pay for your first 6 weeks of lessons upfront. Before these lessons are completed, we’ll send you an email with simple instructions to set up a monthly Direct Debit, ensuring your place in the programme is reserved without any interruption.

If you decide to leave after your initial 3-month commitment, that’s absolutely fine, we simply ask for 30 days’ notice so we can process the cancellation of your Direct Debit and update your booking.

Little Splashers

(Aged 1-2 years)

More Information

Little Splashers is the perfect introduction to the water for babies and toddlers, helping them to build their water confidence. Parents and little ones can enjoy gentle activities together, such as floating, splashing, and moving to increase their child’s water confidence. Parents or guardians will also be shown how to support their children in water properly.

Little Splashers swimming lessons take place across all Life Leisure pools in Stockport.

Swim Tots

(Aged 3-4 years)

Swim Tots swimming lessons are uniquely designed so that parents will be in the water alongside their child as they practise relaxation techniques, learn body positioning to stay afloat and develop underwater confidence. Our hands-on approach helps to develop children’s water confidence quicker and allows parents to understand how best to support children in the water.

Swim Tots swimming lessons take place across all Life Leisure pools in Stockport.

Junior Swimming Lessons

(Aged 4+ Years)

Our junior lessons programme is designed to equip your child with essential life skills. Following a badge scheme, swimmers will graduate with key talents that will enable them to be a safe and confident swimmer. Swimming lessons are available for children aged 4+ years and accommodate both beginners and improvers.

  • Free admission to all public swimming sessions throughout the year. *Does not include the slides at Grand Central or inflatable fun sessions.
  • 20% discount on all swimming holiday courses designed to enhance your child’s development.
  • Home portal – top up and move classes 24/7, view your account details and view progress updates on lessons and courses.

Supported Swimming Lessons

(Aged 5 – 11 Years)

Our Supported Lesson scheme is for children aged 5 – 11 years with a disability who may need more support and a smaller class size than mainstream lessons can offer. The aim of these lessons is to teach children to become more independent in the water and help them to join a mainstream class.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Life Leisure also offer an all-inclusive learn to swim scheme to help adults achieve their personal goals. The programme provides a scheme of work, recognises progress and provides the foundation skills which are developed to ensure you reach your full potential. Many of our swimming teachers have also been trained in supporting swimmers with long-term health conditions – look out for classes named Water Wellbeing.
