Stockport Exchange is getting ready to welcome an exciting new addition, as a brand new padel court prepares to open at the north west’s most accessible business hub. This milestone marks a significant moment, bringing one of the world’s fastest growing sports to the heart of the town centre.
The new venue will be managed by Life Leisure, the operator behind Stockport’s successful padel court at Houldsworth Village which opened in February 2024 and has attracted hundreds of new players. With their experience and expertise in delivering high-quality sports and leisure facilities, Life Leisure is committed to making padel accessible to all, ensuring an outstanding playing experience for the Stockport community.
The highly anticipated opening promises to deliver an exceptional experience for players of all abilities, providing a state-of-the-art facility where people can get fit, stay active, meet new people, and most importantly – have fun!

Combining elements of tennis and squash, padel is played in doubles on enclosed courts and is easy to learn, highly social, and accessible to players of all skill levels. Its dynamic and engaging nature makes it the perfect sport for families, friends, and competitive athletes alike.
Plans are also in place to create an outdoor seating area similar to the successful setup at Houldsworth Village. All bookings for the court will be made via an app, making it easy for players to secure a game. Additionally, the venue aims to offer racquet hire for those who may not have their own equipment.
